LHS Cross Country Coach Rick Ventura called me today to report that Michelle Sikes (LHS '03, Wake Forest '07) won the NCAA Division I National Championship in the 5000M yesterday in Sacramento, CA. Her winning time was 15:16.76.

Michelle is the daughter of Bob & Bonnie (LHS '74) Sikes. She's heading to Oxford in the fall as a Rhodes Scholar. Michelle is the whole package -- an incredible athlete, a top-notch student, and an absolutely delightful young woman!
