WARNING - PHISHING Scam on Lakewood First Federal Customers.

Got this email today - it is a scam. It appears to go to a legitimate link. I called First Federal and was told it was just a way for some scammers to get my debit card number. BE CAREFUL

Dear Member,

This is your official notification from First Federal of Lakewood that the service(s) listed below
will be deactivated and deleted if not renewed immediately. Previous notifications have
been sent to the Billing Contact assigned to this account. As the Primary Contact, you
must renew the service(s) listed below or it will be deactivated and deleted.

Renew Now your account at First Federal of Lakewood immediately.

SERVICE: Online Banking.
EXPIRATION: May, 2 2007

A different version on the scam today.

After three unsuccessful login attempts your account was temporary disabled until further investigations.

All cards (except the temporary cards) from this account are suspended.


You must reactivate your account at First Federal of Lakewood immediately, or you won't be able to use your cards again.

The information you provide us is all non-sensitive and anonymous - No part of it is handed down to any third party.

Thank for the heads up.

We have other banks in Lakewood and Cleveland being hit byt this fishing.


Always call, and give no information about accounts.
