Last night Rozi's Wine Shop, 14900 Detroit Ave., hosted the second annual Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Charity Tasting.

This year Matt Harlan Executive Chef from Lolita was the special guest chef.

It was the party of the year, and a great fund raising event.

Kara and Corey Rossen did a great job as they always do in planning and staging the event. Lakewood is so lucky to have people like Kara, Cory and the entire Rossen family living here and taking an active part.

The Lakewood Observer was proud to be asked to help promote this event for a great cause, Jordan's Family Foundation and The Cleveland Clinic.

Can't wait till next year.

Here are a couple photos.

The supporters and tasters lined up early. Spotted in line was Leo Buckon, Dottie's husband.

At the one hour mark the place was packed with two hours to go.

Corey and Kara Rossen, who put on this great event take a break. The Rossen family has a great history of business in Lakewood, and giving with their hearts. We are lucky to have them here.

Thanks to everyone at Rozi's Wine Shop for a great night and a great event.

We would like to take the time to thank the many people in the community that have made our efforts possible, enjoyable, and successful. When we set out to raise awareness about the heart disease that afflicted our daughter, we had no idea what we were up against and, as it turns out, the community was openly willing to help out. You have enabled us to raise money for medical research and funds to help support families in similar circumstances as ourselves.

Thank you, again, for offering us the ability to “make a differenceâ€Â￾ and get our word out about Congenital Heart Disease on a grand scale and also for your support, efforts, and consideration in making Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month a success. We look forward to next year’s events and hope we can again count on your continued support.

Thank you again for your support,

Corey, Kara, and Family
