Help the Lakewood Observer look into this snow problem. Over the next week we will be asking questions regarding snow in this city.

Today's question of the day is: Blow or Shovel?
It can be found just above the calendar on the front page. We all know if you blow you still need to shovel to get it perfect. But let's see.

I notice the question of the day for the 16th asks if the city should shovel our walks. I have to say no to that, as I can't think of a less efficient use of time. But what about sidewalk plows?

The present system, where some people clear walks, and some do not, results in many streets being impossible to navigate by sidewalk when there is heavy snowfall. Aside from handing out snow tickets, I think sidewalk plows are worth looking into. The fairly small town I came from in Canada managed with them, at 1/5th or less the population of Lakewood.

I hope if people put chemicals on the sidewalks, they make them pet friendly.

I merely posted this as it has come up before. I would have to agree with you.

At the Lakewood Observer we are all about doing more without burdening the city with more expenses.

People send in questions and they get posted.
