This morning, Lakewood lost a great friend as Cleveland sportscaster Casey Coleman lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Coleman's Lakewood story included being introduced to his wife, Mary by Mayor Tom George.

Coleman became a household name in Cleveland covering sports in Cleveland for over thirty years.

Coleman was very active in Recovery Resources and a special "Casey's Fund" has been created to honor the sportscaster. Recovery Resources has been helping recovering addicts for over 50 years and this particular fund helps to underwrite the treatment of indigent clients. You can make a donation in his honor through http://www.recres.org/about/caseyfund.htm.

Coleman will be dearly missed by everyone whose life he has touched and we send our most sincere condolences to Mary and his daughters.
