I came across this new funding initiative in the latest RFP Bulletin and thought this forum could generate some great ideas. Basically, Hamburger Helper will award grants of up to $15,000 each month through May 2007 for a project to improve the community. Funding requests must come from municipal or civic organizations or public schools.
Ideas?

I say for that money...we work with the railroad company to have the railroad overpass on West Clifton sandblasted and painted...and we add some emblematic or inspirational message that Lakewood travelers can see coming/going in both directions. The current badly rusted black overpass needs a redo. With all the creative class we have in Lakewood, I am sure an artist can create something pleasing to the eye and sustaining.

As we have found out the the flower basket fiasco was not the doing of Mainstreet or LCPI, but a misunderstanding with others. How about LCPI filing(as they need to be a 501C3) and get kick ass flower baskets paid for by Hamburger Helper in time for spring next year?
