The Observation Deck

Did anyone else have a power outage saturday night? I live on Rockway, and awoke at 4am because I realized our window fan wasn't on, even though I had left it on. Then I noticed that the streetlight over our driveway was out, and when I peaked out the shades, I saw that the whole street was completely dark, no streetlights, no lights at all. I then heard my neighbors waking up with the same realization. I called The Illuminating Company (and actually got through to a human being), and they just said there was a service interruption in "our area" ... the power did come on an hour later, but I'm wondering if it was widespread, or just for our street, or the surrounding neighborhood.

There was no power disruption in my part of the Gold Coast.

There was a telephone pole fire on Lakeland Ave at @3:45 AM. I don't know if it just happened or it was as a result of a collilsion. The fire dep't responded and power to most of western Lakewood from Winton west was out.
I ran along Detroit during the outage and because of the darkness I had to sharpley reduce my usual BLAZING speed
