More than once I've seen mention in LO and on this msg board about radio scanners. I used to work for the Cuyahoga Co. sheriff's dispatch radio & detective bureau, and have a long-term history in radio & frequency scanning.

Is there any interest in having an irregularly-meeting scanner group in Lakewood? We can share frequencies and finds, etc, if anyone is interested.

I can most likely organize a meeting place and time.

Respond to this thread if you are interested and I can make arrangements for a meeting in late June or early July.

Today was what I'd call a "good" scanner day. Listening to our safety forces respond to problems, hearing their descriptions of trouble spots, etc. was very interesting. Part of me really wanted to see water shooting 4' into the air out of a manhole!

thanks for the responses... I'm thinking we could meet in early July on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening. We could meet at the library, if that is convenient, or somewhere else if we decide to meet later in the evening. I will msg those interested to see what works best for all....

I've been listening to scanner radio for years... It's amazing what can be heard on these things and never reported in our local newspapers. Sign me up
