Hi all!

Would any of the wonderful volunteer writers for the Observer be willing to write a story for me? While I love conversation - writing is not my thing, however, I believe that this is noteworthy as it is another pace where Lakewood is being renewed.

Our church, Lakewood Presbyterian on Marlowe & Detroit, has celebrated over 100 years of service here in Lakewood and is about to tear down its entire education facility and rebuild a new education & meeting center.

Considering the size of this project I do think it is a worthy topic and I am hoping someone will be willing to take it on. We are anticipating that the demolition of the old building will begin on or about June 5.

Please respond or PM me if you are able and willing to cover another great sign of Lakewood's revitalization!!

Peace,
~Charyn

Charyn--- I might take it on because-----my Mom was the organist there during the 1960's and one of the former ministers, McKendry, was the Dad of some of my classmates and wrestling teamates at LHS.
Let's see if anyone else grabs it first, though, because maybe this summer we can get some college kids to jump in.

Actually I believe Heidi has someone on this story. Also spoke with someone in the office not the pastor, and he was going to send in information, and I was supposed to photograph it next week.
