Vacant house on Parkwood-Status

My wife spent her high school years in a house on Parkwood that has been vacant for over four years. It has been in foreclosure for at least that long. I have no idea why it should take so long to foreclose on a vacant house; but that's a subject for a different post.
I spent a few minutes today to find out who owns the mortgage and what action they are taking.
I found that the original mortgage holder sold the mortgage to an investment group. The manager I talked to was able to get me a telephone number for the current note holder.
I just left a message at that number.
By the way, the original note holder was quit pleased to find out that they were able to sell a mortgage that has been in default for 4 years!
If there is any interest I will keep posting my experience.
