When is the Insurance Affiliates building coming down?
Will there be a ground breaking ceremony for the new addition?
A time capsule planted?

Insurance Affiliates is coming down as we speak.....interior demolition first, followed by the building. It should be a level area the first part of May.
Look for an article announcing the "Citizen's Groundbreaking" in the next Observer. Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 7, at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate not only the 90th anniversary of LPL, but also digging a new beginning. We hope that all our patrons will participate in what will be an entirely different ceremony, featuring our citizens who provided the funds for this project.
Still discussing the time capsule.

I'm fascinated watching buildings come down - particularly when a utilitarian building is making way for something so beautiful.
I'm guessing a few Observer newspapers would fit into a time capsule if you're taking suggestions!
Thanks for the info, Jeff.
This is a really exciting project.

Well, as of today 4-20, the construction barriers are up. Sorry for the traffic delays, but in the end it will be worth it!

We'll all get through the inconvenience!
