Bike Race?

DH & I were going through some old stuff of his, and among the photographs were pictures of a Bonne Bell bike race that ran down Detroit Avenue.
I couldn't remember it, but I'm guessing somebody here does.
Can someone remember the details? The time would have been in the early 70's, judging by some of the other photos that were with it.
