TV Feedback

A story on the front of the website outlines new channels added to the Cox lineup last week. I think they are pretty good additions. I love "Tube TV", which is all music videos all the time (like MTV in the old days). The "Ohio Channel" seems intriguing....it is a state equivalent to CSPAN. Coverage of the Ohio House and senate in session. Now we can actually watch the state being destroyed from the comfort of our living rooms!
I am curious of Observers' opinions. Do you have Cox Cable? If so, do you have the digital service? Or do you have satellite instead? How many of you out there are still "roughing it"? (my term for those with no cable or satellite).
If you have cable or satellite, how do you like your service? What channels would you like to see added?
I am a Cox satellite customer. My choices to add would be ONN and the college sport channels. With the large number of college sports fans in town, I am shocked that we don't have ESPNU.

With apologies to my beau, more FOOTBALL is NOT what the dr ordered!!
Adelphia carries Fox Movie Channel, which is similar to TCM Gotta love that! Said beau will even forsake football for a good classic flick. That would be a nice pickup for Cox.
Also, has anyone seen Current TV? That's the channel Al Gore is involved with. From the website, it looks like edgy, short-form stuff, NOT politics. Could be fun. Or it could give me a headache.

I am what is known as a media junkie.
At home with have COX and Direct TV, at the office we have Dish TV.
My opinion is that if Cox carried LinkTV I could probably get by with just that.

what? i don't have cable and since i live in lakewood, that would be "cox". so yeah, i'm envious.
and "hardball"? sure, matthews and i don't agree on much but i really love that guy. i'm lucky that nbc airs a show of his early in the morning on weekends. i miss my blonde cutie, hehe.
as for my kids, without cable they are, gasp,
reading more and more. playing more and relying more on their own active imaginations rather than that of cartoon network.
like i said, bad for me, good for my kids

I've got Cox basic (non-digital) cable in my apartment, although I'm still confused as to why since I didn't order it. Not sure if it's part of the deal with my lease or just an accident, but I don't question these things. Nor would I pay for it. Sure, I'm glad I get to watch the 'Daily Show' on Comedy Central, but the TV in the bedroom that's hooked up to standard rabbit ears gets the Canadian channel that shows 'The Daily Show', too. Most of the time, the Mrs. and I are watching 'Food Network' or mindlessly surfing if we're actually watching TV. Neither MTV, MTV2, or VH1 actually show much in the way of music videos any more. Instead, they show stupid reality programs geared towards teens and folks in their twenties. I am now officially old, as nothing on any of these channels remotely appeals to me. So in short, John Stewart good, everything else on cable bad. Except maybe Sci-Fi channel and Turner Classic Moveis, which combined still isn't worth whatever it costs for basic cable.
