Last month the Lakewood Observer applied and was accepted as a Google news source. Google said it would take 2 or 3 weeks to activate. It became active today, actually within the past hour.
Pretty exciting. This puts the Lakewood Observer into the news mix with Reuters, New York Times, CBS, NBC, CNN, BBC, etc.
Try going to Google News and search for something about Lakewood that has been mentioned in any of the Lakewood Observer papers, or just try typing Lakewood and Observer into the news search. Set up your own Google News Alerts with your own key words. Very cool!
Just a note on this, all Lakewood Observer credited news is now showing that it is only one hour old because of today's activation. What they are showing may go back to any issue of the paper. Of course this will become more accurate and up to date as time progresses.
Congratulations to the Lakewood Observer for its expanded reach!
