addition to new housing & retail....

Does the city ever look at pursuing out of city or out of state companies to move here?
Lakewood does have some vacant industrial land such as LEScrew or space on Berea rd.
When I was visiting in Winston-Salem NC last year the local paper had a full front page article on how they pursued and won a Dell manufacturing facility for their city. They found that Dell was looking for place and the city chased them. I am unsure of what incentives they offered to Dell but I think something like this may be more beneficial than new retail or housing. Something needs to get people here and keep them here.
Imagine if Dell built a manufacturing facility where LE Screw sits. Think there would be any empty apartments in lakewood? Not to mention all the other peripheral business that would pop up nearby.
