Hi,
The link at the top of this thread is dead.
Any ETA on Council Meetings availability? I'm will to help, just get the tapes to me and I'll e-mail you AM quality (or higher if desired) MP3 files which you could make available to the World.
I know your working on the perfect solution, but in the mean time we could be getting content from each Council meeting just using the tapes, without edits.

Don-
We're still working on getting the tapes from Council. I guess we ran out of steam for a bit.
I'll call City Hall tomorrow about the full Council recording & get back to you!

We have the podcast links on the front page at
http://lakewoodobserver.com
iTunes has recently added a podcasting option to its free program. Both PC & Mac users can get iTunes for free at:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Since iTunes hasn't picked up on our feeds (yet), there is an easy way to manually subscribe to our podcasts.
After you have downloaded & installed iTunes, look at the top menu bar for
Advanced
Subscribe to Podcast
You can paste in our feeds (individually):
for the musicCasts
http://lakewoodobserver.com/music/audio/dircaster.php
for Stan Austin's councilCasts,
http://lakewoodobserver.com/podcasts/audio/dircaster.php
These feeds will work with whatever aggregator you choose.

I subscribed to the podcast via iTunes however the feed information there is not all the descriptive. I have a feeling it's because the feed is not formatted to meet Apple's specifications:
http://phobos.apple.com/static/iTunesRSS.html
Following that will allow you to give it a Title, Author, etc that will make it easier to find when searching podcasts in iTunes as well as making it have better descriptions in your iTunes podcast list.

Bryan-
I saw that iTunes had picked up up and there is indeed something wrong with the way our automatic feed generator works.
I'm working on it!
