Cyberstalking

Cyberstalking is a crime in which the attacker harasses a victim using electronic communication, such as e-mail or instant messaging (IM), or messages posted to a Web site or a discussion group. A cyberstalker relies upon the anonymity afforded by the Internet to allow them to stalk their victim without being detected. Cyberstalking messages differ from ordinary spam in that a cyberstalker targets a specific victim with often threatening messages, while the spammer targets a multitude of recipients with simply annoying messages.

and...

Cyberterrorism
According to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, cyberterrorism is any "premeditated, politically motivated attack against information, computer systems, computer programs, and data which results in violence against non-combatant targets by sub-national groups or clandestine agents."

Sometimes victims have the ability to eliminate some of the "power" a cyber stalker has. Your definition mentions the power within anomosity. If someone has names of cyber stalkers then those names should be exposed to elimate part of the stalker's power.

Just a thought on how people can ban together to eliminate cyber stalkers as it pertains to this and help the larger audience by providing knowledge and names. I think it was WVIZ that promoted "Knowledge is Power" back in my youth.

I am with you brother, I am just trying to cut through the chatter, and post some definitions people throw around willy-nilly,

I thought it might be good to set some parameters to this conversations. People screaming this and that, let's put out popular definitions and see who is a cyber bully or cyber stalker. I am working on a bunch of stuff this weekend, so I was hoping to get data points erected this weekend. And a great discussion in the coming weeks.

allow me to continue.

All, it seems that we are finding it hard to even seem a little common ground on the hospital issue. So maybe we can seek some agreement on the terms we are throwing around, and perhaps you will understand why we picked the platform we did for discussions. Both sides talking about Cyber Bully and Cyber Stalkers.
Let cut through the rhetoric if we cannot agree what these two simple things are, then we can agree on nothing.

OK Who wants to go first, really third, but first in the discussion?

So if then is Maggie a cyber bully?
Manno a cyber bully?

Jay Carson a "bully" accusing me of lies and threats when there were and are none?

Are those who filed false criminal complaints against me bullies and cyber-bullies because they sent their operatives out to do their dirty work while they play victims in the shadows?

Is onelakewood.com a cyber-bullying syndicate attacking the weak and defenseless vulnerable poor if our community?

Nobody has even scratched the facts in my post that touched the heart of the matter and exposed Bler's hatred of truth.

Just questions mind you not "threats" heaven forbid no not "threats"

Brian

According to the definition, usually not. Jay stood in council gave his name and address, as did Maggie.

But before we start sorting through who is what and who is doing what I would like to get some Build Lakewood people in on this. Perhaps their spokesperson Jeff Weber? Maybe the Lakewood Law Director could explain their stance on these things. I think it would be fascinating to hear what different people think of cyber bullying, cyber stalking, which is a crime which is. Oh I forgot one!!!

Because so BuildLakewood, and so many thought this was an important topic, I have made it a sticky while we discuss and define if these popular and legal definitions are what we want for this discussion started by Maggie Fraley, BuildLakewood, Save Lakewood Hospital to name but a few.

Kind of quiet.

I notice some people busy deleting posts around town, but I was assured this was a hot topic.

Once we sort through this, we can talk about deleting.

Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

Is it bullying to ask people to help you define bullying?

Anyone? Anyone?

Deleting is a mark of shame or cowardice.

I am stuck on a cell phone all weekend but if you could post the dictionary definition of bullying I think you will find that it means that there has to be some disparity is strength and weakness. So for me in relation to Jay Carson and Jenn Pae (someone using her government position to campaign for her boss on the public payroll and in a position of power in relation to me) I'm not sure how anyone gets to the generic definition of bullying.

The it is a fact that I never made a threat that I or anyone else would do anything.

Wow, I didn't mean to be such a Debbie Downer, everyone at Build Lakewood were so desperate to talk about Bulling and Stalking, now nothing.

Go figure.

If no one else jumps in, we can agree that we agree, and can start to look at practical examples of what people have posted and deleted around town and let you judge.

Cyber Bully, Cyber Stalker, Cyber Terrorist?

It will be fun.

Jim

I read these definitions they look fine to me, but making defamatory posts and deleting them should be added to cyber stalking or bullying at least.

Bad actors acting in political concert are attacking me and my character via the internet instead of challenging the facts and evidence I have put forward to protect the underserved and the general health and wellbeing of Lakewoodites.

Thank you, I hope we can get some people from Build Lakewood and some of the accusers in here to agree on terms, before we start the discussion.

Once we define these we can look at various aspects of each, we can discuss deleting, etc.

Baby steps, we will use this to build consensus and community.
