Is this the new look? Guess it's good although it'll take some getting used to

Jim-- did you intentionally choose the Pope's visit to do this changeover?

This is not the "new look" it is part one of a new upgrade. We sill need to fill in some areas.

Smart Phone friendly, and other features coming.

As we move more and more to streamlining all of this we will be making many changes to what you see.

As we bring the old databases back online, and we move towards new architecture to allow use on tablets and smart phones.

For smart phone users sign in and get to "Board Index" then go to the "Save/Forward" click on "Add to home screen" and you
will have direct to the Deck from tablet or smart phone.Better than an app, NO ADS!

From there many of the features like "new posts" and "search" are reserved for members that have signed in. You do not need to
be a member to read anything, but to post and get new features you need to sign in and be vetted.

WE DO NOT USE PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR ANYTHING, and after vetting, MOST CAN BE DELETED!

The Lakewood Observer does not monetize our members, or share any files with anyone.

This might be The Observation Deck's 2015 MVP ... Most Valuable Post!

Brilliantly played, Corey!

And what makes this so brilliant is that Stan is chuckling right along with everyone else!

So, the first "new look" from last week is gone and now it's shows a second "new look" this week?

Just trying to make sure I'm keeping all these changes straight in my head... :?

We are just tinkering make sure everything is working.
One of the things we have always sought tot do is make the pages both easy to read, and yes, easy to print.
People still print pages! I know, I know.
We are looking to push our boundaries but within our conceptual limits.

An example, "LIKE BUTTONS" they did not exist when we started, and we really didn't care if anyone "liked" what we had posted as much as wanting to know why you liked it. Even more importantly was those that did not "LIKE" what we had written. Do not give me a thumbs down, educate me, and if need be take me to the wood shed and along the way I will learn something, you might learn something, if nothing else we learn more about each other and life would go on.

We passed on the like buttons again, this time around. Plenty of places to like things, this is a place to stop by, kick back, let the good times roll, talking about and sharing observations and stories of the city we love, Lakewood. It can be a wonderful experience, if you are willing to jump into the mosh pit of word jazz.

The Father of Word Jazz, Ken Nordine

To everyone taking part, Thank you.
