The Second Most Ignorant Question Asked About The Hospital

Now that we have moved past, "What if there is nothing there?" into another realm of
questions that just are ridiculous.

Councilman Tom Bullock shouting in to Ex-Congressman Kucinich, "What is their plan?"

Number 2, as screamed by Councilman Tom Bullock to Ex-Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

"What is SLH's Plan To Run The Hospital?"

First, this is merely the Councilman and others moving the ball illegally down the field, to a
point past the lawsuit and past the hospital closing. This serves them well for their second
follow up question, slightly more legit, "Where does the $91 million come from?" The first
is merely the pivot point to a second question. This is what $1 million in spin will buy you.
Follow the reasoning or lack there of?

We have some residents that saw something terribly wrong, they went to the City which
pushed them aside; they sought legal opinions on what they thought was wrong. The
lawyers they sought were public defenders and prosecutors with a wealth of background,
and all of them came back with opinions that what was happening was not legal. So they
went to court, to get rulings and a third unbiased opinion through the courts.

These people have no background in healthcare, some of them have a background in
politics and city government. They come from a very diverse background.

OK 1st question...
Should they not have come out, and sought a sane, quiet legal opinion about what they were thinking? Or should they have just walked away from the scene of what could possibly be a crime?

As they dug more and more, now through the courts, with public record requests and
depositions, they find more and more troubling and possibly illegal actions in the workings
of the deal.

The city they are part of decides to fight them, marginalize them and spends up
to $1 million in spin and legal fees, instead of coming clean with all documents. So one
side is basically still in the dark, with a legal right to all the records. And the other side is in
full understanding of what was done, and is spending $1 million to confuse and stop people
from understanding what is going on.

When a couple residents in New York, questioned the government and Hooker Chemical about
being negligent and untruthful, and the Love Canal became the largest super fund site of all time,
were the people who questioned it burdened with finding the cure for toxic dumping in landfills
and cover-ups by officials? No, they did their duty, and the courts held government, the EPA, and
the local government to their duty of making sure the offenders cleaned it up, and that it was
safe for rebuilding.

No one asked the people who found the poison in the water to clean the water.

OK 2nd question...
Do we really want people who did the right thing by speaking up and getting a legal decision, but with no background in medicine, making plans for the next 50 years based
on the complete lack of information coming from City Hall and LHA?

Of course not. This is more $ million dollar spin, being spread throughout the city by sheep
who refuse to read the documents but prefer to jump in from the peanut gallery. You want
to have fun, ask any of them one simple question, "How much money “coming to
Lakewood” did not start out as money we already had, in our Lakewood PUBLIC ASSET?"
They can't answer it. The answer of course is $0.00, it all started out as our money and
assets. This is why it is a money laundering scheme.

Speaking for myself, and I’m not part of either group in this, I think that we really need to
put the horse back in the barn on this one. No one is going anywhere, and our "losses" can
be covered, we certainly have the time to get this right.

I do not need Save Lakewood Hospital planning my future, I am glad they just are
questioning the process. Something that would not need to be done had the Mayor
and Bullock and Madigan been honest with the residents, and done their fiduciary
duties and met their fiduciary responsibilities that include keeping us informed.

I also do not need BuildLakewood hanging around like "Masters of the House" how
apropos that they chose a boutique hotel, no doubt inspired by the most famous inn
keepers in the world, the Thénardier couple from Les Miserables.

Meet the Thénardiers

Today, a real Democrat came back to town, and asked some very real questions based on
facts that were uncovered only because of the SLH lawsuit. He re-explained what City
Government and what elected officials are supposed to be doing, which is, representing the residents.

I would say that the most common sense thing anyone can say is, Let's lay the FACTS all out on
the table--no more surprise-of-the-week—everything: ethics, criminal, backroom deals, and let all of
us digest what is really going on. After all, you are public officials, and this is a public asset.

Let's try to avoid...
