They wouldn't be up to no good if there were more than one outdoor basketball court open in Lakewood.

52,000 people and one outdoor basketball court. Go figure.

It was reported they were looking for the courts...

Speaking of...

... have you spoken with Stephanie? It seems the hoops purchased by LOBC were
stolen and or un-returned. Know anything about that?

Can't tell if you are serious or not. Do you really think an outdoor basketball court would have deterred this?

Matthew - would these three yahoos have committed the crime if there were more basketball hoops in Lakewood? Sure, probably, maybe. Who knows.

That's not really my point, though. Most folks who know me (or knew me when I lived in Lakewood) will tell you that I usually look at things from a connect-the-dots, systemic viewpoint. And in this case, I use the lack of basketball hoops in The Wood as an example of how many of the youngest of our neighbors have been disenfranchised and marginalized by a lack of attention and opportunity and love.

Sometimes it's good to view things from 35,000 feet above the ground rather than from two inches down our noses.
