Why Don't We Close the Fire Department?

Post by Brian Essi »

Following Summers' logic on the hospital, not many of us have used or needed the Fire Department, so why not close it.

Maybe less of us use that than the hospital each year.

The Fire Department costs us a lot of tax dollars every year.

The hospital has cost us no tax dollars for 100 years.

The more we examine Summers' excuses for closing the hospital, the sillier they become.

Of course we shouldn't close the Fire Department---we need it and hats off to the dedicated heroes who work their.

The same applies to the hospital--and there are heroes there too.
