FACT CHECK: Summers OWNS the Hospitals' Current Failure

Summers' re-election problem is an obvious and insurmountable one: The more the hospital fails, the clearer it becomes that the Summers has failed as Lakewood's chief executive in charge of managing Lakewood's interests in the hospital:
1. Summers "led" LHA to sign the LOI.
2. It was HIS deal.
3. It is a complete failure.
4. The LOI and the announcements that followed STARTED the hospital losses
5. Those losses are ACCELERATING because Summers is no longer leading--he is sitting back doing nothing to change the failed course he set.
6. Summers has failed to come to terms with his failure (a double failure).
Currently, Summers is exhibiting a complete failure to take responsibility and create accountability for what is happening at the hospital-- he led LHA and us here, but he is no longer leading.
He can try to stay out of sight. He can try to change to subject.
But he can't change the fact that he OWNS the failure at Lakewood Hospital.
If he had the skill set of a true leader, he could overcome this, but he does not---so he sits quietly with his head under the covers hoping it will all go away or somehow be resolved by others. It won't...at least not until January.
