Very sad news, around 7pm a 9 month old baby crawled out a 9th floor window
at the Castlewood Apartments on Detroit Ave.and fell about 72 feet. Lakewood Fire
and Police responded immediately and the child was taken to Metro where it remains
in critical condition tonight.

Police are investigating.

If you are the praying kind, start.

At the same time a juvenile on Wascana was transported to Fairview Hospital
suffering cardiac arrest.

The other day Lakewood Fire answered 35 calls in 22 hours.

Lakewood's first responders, thank you.

Has there been an uptick with juveniles/teens having cardiac issues? How about the heroin problem I've heard about talking with LPD?

The baby died last night in the early morning hours.
