Since when do attorneys create concept drawings?

On February 18, 2014, Summers met with the School Board to discuss a recreation center on the hospital campus.

Note the May 15, 2014 “concept” drawing contains exercise equipment—reference is also made to a pool/gym. Summers said don’t refer to this as a “Recreation Center,” it’s a “Wellness Center”.

Note also that Affiliate Partners contemplated in the “Wellness” Center include:
(1) The Lakewood YMCA as a manager;
(2) Lakewood City Schools; and
(3) Lakewood City Recreation Department.

Three Board of Education members have signed on to the Mayor’s plan to demolish the hospital.

For some reason this reminds me of the O.J. Simpson case when they presented the DNA evidence to the jury and he still walked.

City Hall and Build Lakewood have just released a statement regarding this latest development:

The vids are great! Personally, I was framing this as a Sherlock Holmes mystery. " The Problem of the Mendacious Mayor".

We need a hospital in Lakewood---why send jobs and construction projects to Fairview to expand a hospital there to serve us in Lakewood?

Metro proposed keeping a right sized hospital and leaving the City with plenty of land to build a recreation/wellness/health/community center if that even makes sense for our City.

The current YMCA is great----Jay Foran said we have enough capacity in terms of facilities.

None of this "healthiest City in America" stuff makes any sense if folks face facts.

CCF, LHA and the City can do all the health education and prevention "Healthiest City" stuff right from the existing hospital facilities without threatening the YMCA and other health/recreation businesses in Lakewood.

What is wrong with these people?
