Please be mindful of Pets this Holiday

Many humans love fireworks, but they can be scary for our furry friends.
Many pets are frightened and run away during the holiday, winding up in animal shelters.

Here are some tips I learned from CCLAS:

Please keep your pets indoors.
Consider playing some soft music for them.
If it gets nervous, distract your pet with some treats or playtime.
Make sure your pet has an up-to-date ID tag with current information.

Enjoy the fourth!

Great advice Michael as I've seen many a dog go nuts over fireworks and not necessarily in a good way if you know what I mean.

Another wonderful thing you can do for your pet....all natural and safe (this was referred to me by our vet for our group) If you do give your dog Melatonin please please please make sure there is no xylitol in the ingredients as that is toxic for your dog. I use this product listed in the link and it works wonders for my crew. I also use it for my personal dog as he has severe anxiety over everything. (if you met Hopper you know this)
