This Is All So Disappointing

The map/drawing you allude to, have you seen it?

I had been told of a map, that existed back in 2013 that had a building on Detroit, that
could have been the Curtis building on Detroit, they thought. Behind that was a "Rec
Center," and behind that "a big field divided in three for other uses like soccer."

Is that the drawing you are speaking of?

This is why I took notice of Mayor Summers' presentation to Lakewood School Board as
reported asking for their support on a "Rec Center" to be built on the Hospital Property.

This is why I had always thought the Active Living Task Force was a fraud. One of the people
on the task force also mentioned they had seen the drawing with soccer fields. After Matt
Markling announced that, we also reported that the term "Rec Center" was dropped in
favor on "Wellness Center."

If that is the drawing, THE ENTIRE THING IS A LIE.
Jim Kenny was right, indictments should go out.

The RFP that never asks for a Rec Center but was included by two parties. Hmmmmmm
The LOI, was just a way for a small group to sell off our biggest asset to build their
rec center and soccer fields, as they could not get tax dollars legally.

The Active Living Task Force was a complete lie, and using good people as cover for their
secret plan to sell off over $100 million in assets to get the money laundered by the
Cleveland Clinc and back in their hands, of a "yet unnamed non-profit that would be
dedicated to WELLNESS AND RECREATION.

That the head of the Active Living Task Force might have been honest when he said "WE
NEVER SPOKE OF A REC CENTER OR WELLNESS CENTER OR SOCCER FIELDS" because
they did not have to, they already have the drawings.

That not only did our elected officials scheme for this they knowingly lied to every resident
in this city about all of it!

JFC!!!

Of course this is what was reported here back when we heard of the drawing. Just like
we did with the LOI and when it was discovered months before it was announced.

Where is the drawing?

I just can't wait for these people to see the support Save Lakewood Hospital gets this July 4th. One of the few times the people can "push" back and show solidarity to the powers.

It is all disappointing, Jim, especially since much of this is the work of a friend of yours (no?).

You keep up your good work regardless!

I am not sure if you were here for the last civil war, "Issue 47"?

It gets ugly, and I promise you this gets uglier.

Just like a the real civil war, families and friends will be on opposite sides, and not talk.
During 47 I know of some "Pro-47 families" would not let their kids play with non
supporters. Kids fighting, businesses fighting, for nothing.

I hated it then, and I hate it now. Transparency is so easy, and cures so many ills.

Some good people come out of this not so well. Like when Grandma told you,
"If you get caught in a stolen car it doesn't matter what seat you are in, it doesn't
matter if you got in after it was stolen, you are a car thief in the eyes of the law."

If that drawing surfaces, we basically cannot trust City Hall or the LHA.

Not a very pretty thought, in reality.

Yes.

Jim Kenny would be right, indeed.

I hope that Mr. Kenny makes sure he gets a copy of his police reports, citizen complaints, or other documents.

We don't want to see any police reports, citizen complaints, or other documents turn up missing ... or ... worse ... and conveniently ... never actually get memorialized in writing by City Hall.
