It is hard to belive that just ten short years ago we were taking the first edition of the Lakewood Observer to proof and then print. Our goal of giving Lakewoodites a place to get their voices heard and read, has been a great ride, because of all of you.

So for you, from you, the 250th Edition of the Lakewood Observer!

On the streets this afternoon.

None of this would be possible without everyone that has been a part of this amazing journey.

It is not the success of the Lakewood Observer, it is the success of the community to put
it out there, and keep it going.

Without all of you, we are nothing.

Read the story, next issue but for this issue...

MAYOR SUMMERS DECLARES HIS CANDIDACY FOR RE-ELECTION, the latest on schools,
libraries, sports, and yes the Lakewood Hospital.

Thank you all, for the 250th time.

Thank you to everyone that has made the Observer possible for the past ten years.
Writers, photographers, editors, sponsors, and most importantly the readers.

I've greatly enjoyed reading the paper over the past ten years. I've learned so much about this great community from my fellow writers and photographers.

I'm thankful to be a small part of the project.
I hope you have enjoyed my contributions as much as I've loved bringing stories to you.

Michael,

I've loved your Observer stories, just as I enjoyed your look back in this week's paper.

It's also been a pure joy to have been able to have written so many columns for the paper under my "Pulse of the City" category.

I cannot imagine how so many regular everyday citizens like us could otherwise have had access to such a tremendous public platform as the Observer project.

Have we all made a difference? I would like to think so...

...and we still can.

Congratulations are certainly in order to Jim, Deb, and the Observer family...

...and to Ken Warren.

Yeah, Ken is still with us in so many, many ways.

Back to the banjo. :D
