Car Runs Into Building - Robusto & Briar Cigar Shop

Around 5:45pm this evening a driver ran into the brand new Robusto & Briar Cigar Shop
on Riverside and Detroit Avenue.
The driver was somewhat bewildered, and trying to explain to police how he was...
... trying to avoid an accident when he lost control and climbed the curb.
Owner of Robusto & Briar wondering aloud, "How does anyone hit a building?"
Then a witness came forward who had been sitting on the bench just 15' from the accident.
She explained in great detail how the young man had to react immediately or hit a car and
her on the bench.
As rain began to fall, insurance information was exchange and Lakewood Police called for a tow.
Great work Lakewood Police, there in seconds from the moment of impact.
