Today "Build Lakewood" was launched, with ZERO transparency, and ZERO accountability
no doubt the work of City Hall or a well know admitted cyber stalker/bully/identity thief
they just hired, to help pump out miss-truths and misinformation. As the bill to do so
climbs and climbs into the hundreds of thousands, just to talk with the residents that
voted them in. They don't care about your health or safety, just their twisted agenda.

How do I know it is the City and their new hired hit man?

signup with ZERO knowledge of what the plans are for the space, just signing on blindly.

So apparently "Kill Lakewood Hospital" is calling itself "Build Lakewood".

Very Orwellian.

I have, since this nightmare started years ago, hoped that City Hall would respect the good people
of Lakewood enough that they would inform us, and be truthful. 3 years later it is just getting worse.
Last night, as predicted back in February, the term "mixed purpose..." will enter the lexicon on June
16th. Well last night he was put into the discussion of the "Active Living AND RECREATION Taskforce.
Yep, once again they have changed the name of the task force.

Jay Foran outlined how 10 people spent 450 hours working on the Task Force, and have narrowed
it down to 5 questions! WTF? 450 hours to get to 5 questions, ohhhhhhh now I get it.

When a City Hall needs a lawyer in on every decision, and pays hundreds of thousands of dollars to
people to help control or spin the message, that City Hall has become a threat to the residents.

For those at City Hall that call and complain to me, speak up. Otherwise you are complicit.

Council members, speak up, otherwise you are as bad at Madigan and Bullock at avoiding the light
of day and an honest discussion.

STOP THE MADNESS.

Mike as you know I am not a member of "Save Lakewood Hospital" but I give everyone
associated with it credit for being upfront and honest about every aspect of what they are
doing. No secrets, no bullshit.

Completely different from the lies and coverups at City hall.

The overworked, overqualified, and zero-paid (that is, volunteer) dream team in Save Lakewood Hospital have posted MANY THOUSANDS of hours of investigative research and education - and instead of coming DOWN to just 5 questions - every hour of research raises MORE and MORE questions about the secretive and self-serving deal of Mayor Summers and Cleveland Clinic to kill Lakewood Hospital.

How stupid is this, that we should have to fight to KEEP our hospital?

Money Basics:

Keep Lakewood Hospital, keep $294 million annual spending in the community, keep $3.6 million of city income taxes (on 4400 jobs, not just the 1100 hospital jobs). Remember - Lakewood Hospital is not funded by ANY taxes of any kind. It's pay-as-you-go. You only pay if you use it.

Kill Lakewood Hospital, build the (still secret) Rec Center, LOSE $294 million spending, LOSE $3.6 million city income tax. RAISE city income tax. RAISE real estate tax. LOSE property values. We will ALL pay . . . and pay . . . and pay, whether we use the Rec Center or not.

On second thought - who needs City Hall anyway? Tear it down, put a Rec Center there (they could use one on the east end), let the police and water and streets guys run the place from the water annex across the street.

Jim, I would add that the misinformation, the manipulation, the lack of transparency, all the crap that Summers, Siley and Madigan wallow in, was on full display during the Grace Ave./ Drug Mart process. Colleen Cotter laid it out in her article for The Observer. This is a pattern, not a one-off.
