Do we need fire hydrants?

If only 2600 people stayed overnight in the hospital (even though it was 43,800 days or 120 beds full for 365 nights), and that justifies letting the mayor kill the hospital - then does it follow, that since there were hardly any house fires last year - we don't need fire hydrants any more? Or fire engines?
Take out the hydrants so they aren't there for dogs to pee on? Easier to cut the tree lawn? No more rusty water when they flush them?
Get rid of the fire engines, just keep the EMS to run people out to Avon and Fairview??
THINK, people - THINK!!
Save Lakewood Hospital.
