Lakewood citizens have filed a lawsuit against the parties that want to close Lakewood Hospital.

As part of that lawsuit, and for the benefit of all citizens, it is very important to keep Lakewood Hospital whole, its services and its equipment, during the duration of the lawsuit.

A plea to the public: If anybody out there becomes aware of Clinic's plans to remove services, equipment, etc. from the hospital during the duration of this lawsuit, please advise us BEFORE equipment goes missing. So we can have our attorneys STOP it in its tracks. We'd need the written memo or instructions or such, that our attorneys can take to the judge to stop it.

Item: A Lakewood resident who fell off her bike on Detroit was taken to Fairview.

Item: A Lakewood resident who fainted at Madison Park was taken to Metro.

Item: When I was dropping off a sign the homeowner told me his wife was scheduled for minor surgery. She asked to have the procedure done at Lakewood but was told it had to be done in Avon.

I've been looking real hard for examples of Cities giving away a hospital and hundreds of millions in economic activity for a recreation center. If you have an example please post it here.
