What about the Clinic Family Health Center at east end?

Cleveland Clinic recently built (year or two?) a Family Health Center on Detroit on the east end of town (near Winchester, as I recall). Just a small medical office building with a handful of doctors' offices and about 12 parking spaces in the rear.

Now the building's for sale. Already??? How come? Didn't fly? No one used it? Didn't want to?

Didn't take long for that one to fail, did it?

That's a good marketing study: our people don't want it.

And another verification of Cleveland Clinic's "commitment to Lakewood."

Both Clinic Family Health Centers in Lakewood are a joke.

When Clinic officials spoke before City Council they were asked to tell the people what would actually be offered at the new center. They refused to give any specifics. All they said was "trust us".

The Clinic is intent of creating a health care desert in Lakewood.

Who will stand up for the people of Lakewood?

My doctor is at the Clinic office across from Harding Middle School.
That clinic is a wonderful convenience and a great part of the neighborhood.

If the hospital is killed, my doctor's offices and the Rockport location (which opened in 2007) will both be vacated and moved to Belle Ave.

The Hilliard Square area will already have one missing tooth when the Hilliard Theater is demolished. The empty clinic will create a second empty spot on the same block.

I sure hope people begin to wake up and realize the Cleveland Clinic is not the answer!

"a healthcare desert"...yes, that would play right into their hands, wouldn't it?
