At the last council meeting I attended a women in the audience ask a Lakewood Hospital representative about all the departments and specialties that were transferred out of Lakewood. He replied that he wasn't aware of any and that she should tell him which specialties were transferred. When she tried to read the list she was shut down.

Is it really possible that the Board and Foundation members had no idea that services were being transferred to other Clinic facilities?

Which would be worse, that they didn't know what was going on or that they feel the need to lie about what's going on?

Could it be that the hospital board/foundation was thinking recent service transfers? Maybe there haven't been any recent transfers of servieces but looking at the list approved during the Fitzgerald administration, there is a lot to answer for! What on earth was Fitzgerald thinking back in 1996? How could he figure this was a good option for the people of Lakewood at the time? Really makes you wonder who's side our officials are on.
