THANK YOU to taxpayers, Superintendent Patterson and Board of Education for rebuilding a centrally located elementary school to serve the many families that reside in this downtown neighborhood and beyond.

wasn't Linda Bebe one of the ones that didn't think we needed Grant?

Also, can we stop with the political photo-ops? come on, they dumped dirt in the parking lot so they could put a shovel into some "ground" without actually doing any work (fitting). They also had to tell the construction crew behind them to stop work on the site so they could symbolically start the work on the site... ridiculous.

and strange... no pictures of all the cars parked illegally on Elmwood to attend the ceremony.

There's no harm in a little ceremonial pomp. It's an important step for the future of our city. Those kids in attendance will have a nice story to tell for many years.

As for Beebe, I commend anyone who came around to the realization that Grant is important.
I expect that some of our city leaders will eventually reach a similar conclusion with the hospital.

After all, the demolition of Grant was a "done deal" a few years ago, just like the hospital allegedly is today.

I chose the quotes I sign off with very carefully...

"The very act of observing disturbs the system."
