But, ironically, those aren't the folks who are actually discussing issues facing Lakewood here, on the Deck, in their own words - i.e., you, me, Bill Call, Corey Rossen, Ryan Salo, and the like.
The folks you are speaking of are "City Hall and Friends."
And do you know where they are?
They are not here because:

And, yet, it appears that you are constantly criticizing those of us who are here ... for being here.
FWIW
Jim O'Bryan wrote:From MY point of view, this deal would be easier to understand working through the thought process, the deal and what is going on. I could be wrong. It might be better to just keep posting, "Avon took our hospital." Of course that would mean we discount St. John's impact, Fairview's impact which were huge, and probably larger than Avon or Lakewood Hospital closing.
My frustration is, you answer it one place and it pops up 5 other times. Making observations, not finding fault. I mean look at the facts it has brought to the surface already! Not saying stop, not deleting, not combining, just making observations.
Matthew John Markling wrote:Jim O'Bryan wrote:The problem as I see it is a ton of bad information out there. Bad information is easy to discredit with slighter worse news or good news. So the constant flood of "losing hospital to avon" somewhat deadens the facts on the deal, which are sitting out there.
Well, when the folks who have the information aren't sharing the information, what do you expect?
Let's see all the documents and all the facts.
Why just let them sit out there?
Let's see them.
I don't see "City Hall and Friends" sharing all the documents and facts with us ... I'm not sure they are even sharing all the documents and facts with members of City Council.
What have "City Hall and Friends" shared with David Anderson?
What have "City Hall and Friends" shared with Sam O'Leary?
What have "City Hall and Friends" shared with Cindy Marx?Jim O'Bryan wrote:This deal could easily be stopped, and I know at least one group going for the referendum, but by the time they get it together, if ever the city will have pushed through.
Then, how?Jim O'Bryan wrote:Diffusion, will not stop it though, neither will shotguns.
Then, how?

Matthew John Markling wrote:Does anyone know which Charter Review Commission Member(s) raised the issue of the Lakewood Hospital during the Charter Review Commission Meetings?
Jim O'Bryan and I were so busy debating whether Professor Plum and Colonel Mustard were trying to sneak a "city manager" into the Billiard Room that we simply didn't witness the Dagger being inserted into the Lakewood Hospital.
The minutes and agendas of the Charter Review Commission Meetings can be found at http://www.onelakewood.com/Boards_Commissions/CharterCommission.aspx.
While I did a cursory review of the minutes and agendas, I still can't figure out who stabbed the Dagger into the Lakewood Hospital during the Charter Review.
Does anyone know who did it?
