Is the Library board looking out for the interests of the community?

The library business is changing.
More and more books are being read online or downloaded.
It's easier than ever to buy a book on line at big discounts.
People in Cuyahoga County are moving to Lorain County and Medina County. Do we still need all of that library space?
Library technology is changing all the time and I don't know if Lakewood has the resources to compete.
If we tore down the library that would open up nearly 2 acres for development. Think of the possibilities.
So why not be proactive?
Why not:
Tear down the existing Library.
Use the vacant lot for parking for bookmobiles that will be able to visit schools on a daily basis.
Transfer the books and employees to Avon which is only 20 minutes away.
Use the current balance in the Library trust fund accounts to fund learn to read programs for people of all ages in Lakewood and surrounding areas.
Why do we need a library in Lakewood? There is a Library in Rocky River and in Avon, which is only 20 minutes away.
Maybe the Library board needs to be as proactive as the Lakewood Hospital Board. Think of all of the money that could be feed up for .......
