Lakewood Hospital Closes Catherization Lab In 2 Days

The Ohio Department of Health has asked the Clinic to shut down the Heart
Catherization Lab in the next two days as it did not have enough volume.
Patients suffering from heart attacks will be given thrombolitics and taken Fairview Hospital.

This is true, however this is going to be a state wide law, that if there is not a open heart team on standby patients have to be rerouted to hospitals with a heart-team....only acute heart attacks known as STEMIS!... if however some needs a scheduled procedure we are STILL OPEN. Ems has been told by our VICE President.
so if you need a Cath or a stent we are still able to do it....we only did 30 acute cases last year....

Cities that should be worried are AVON ---they shot themselves in the foot before it opened LOL --but im sure that will change Medina ,Marymount, Lutheran and south point all have to be rerouted. So yes stay tuned. next stop going to the top----
