Last night at approximately 12:43 AM a Fairview Park man was found shot dead in his car at 2156 Eldred.

It's tied to a SWAT situation which is wrapping up at the Red Roof Inn in Westlake:

The suspect and murder victim knew each other according to police.

The police pursued the suspect to the Red Roof in
in Westlake at Crocker Park, they surrounded
the building, a stand-off ensued. Upon entering
the suspect's room they found him dead from a
gunshot to the head.

Police get a call at 12:40 to respond to a car in front of 2156 Eldred, and find a male age
49 from Fairview Park dead from two gunshots. Victim was identified as Charlie Junke,
a hard working owner operator of a driving company.


At 9:40am Lakewood Police with West Shored Enforcement SWAT responds to some tips
that the shooter is in a motel room at Red Roof Inn at Crocker Park in Westlake, and surround the complex.

In they go.


Over, Jeff Null found dead in bed with a single gun shot to the head, believed to be a
suicide. Police are not talking motive or releasing name of suspect at this time.

Later it was learned that Junke and Null were business partners and the partnership broke up with much bad blood over a year ago. From reports we have found Charlie Junke dedicated himself to building his business where it would seem Jeff Null dedicated himself to his dislike of his former partner. 1.25.2015 it came to a head.

Stan, this is still a crazy story-apparently, two business partners-one from Fairview or Westlake, the other from Avon, there has to be much more to this. For instance, how or why did this occur on Eldred?

Charlie Junke was called to a well known house aka "The Doll House" that uses limos. As he waited
for fare that was not coming, Jeff Null got in the car and shot Charlie Junke twice in the head. After
leaving the scene he started to send texts and taunts to Charlie's family and friends, who called the
police where they traced it down to Red Roof Inn. At 9:40am they confirmed that Jeff Null was the
person in the room and the desk cleark had just seen him returning to the room 30 minutes earlier.
The police then cleared out other people in rooms nearby and shut down the street. They tried to call
the room and got no answer. Then they knocked on the door, and got no answer. They took out the
battering ram knocking in the door, and finding Jeff Null dead from a single gun shot to the head.
The police did not hear a shot, so the thought is he did it after coming back to the room, shortly
before the police got there.
