In case you wonder who puts up all the red ribbons, well here is Ian Andrews himself tending
to the task, there were also well known helpers David Stein, owner of Plantation Home, and
Cotton, two stores not to be missed this holiday season, and the one woman machine
known as Paula Reed!
This was shot in front of Lion and Blue which has just recently doubled in size!!! And is ready
to handle everything from stocking stuffers to clothing!
Shop Lakewood first, then last, you will be amazed at how easy Holiday gift giving can be.
See everyone December 6, 4-8pm at Light Up Lakewood.

Even Namaste, Downtown Lakewood's hottest restaurant is getting ready for the party!
Mark and Sonee (Sonny) decorate while Ramesch looks on.

Thanks Jim and everyone with The Lakewood Observer for your support of Light Up Lakewood and LakewoodAlive in general. Saturday is sure to be a great day and the rain is set to subside well before the festivities begin (knock on wood). The volunteers are ready to go and the Light Up Lakewood Committee has been working diligently for months. We are grateful to them for their support, to the City of Lakewood and to the dozens of sponsors who help make this possible. Visit
http://www.lightuplakewood.com for the day's activities, map of the festival zone, timing for the lighting ceremony, parade route and more.
We look forward to seeing you there.

A perfect night for Light Up Lakewood, even when the wind picked up, it slowed down enough
for the fireworks. The streets were packed more than ever before, and the level of fun and
excitement was pretty good. Editing photos now.
Thank you to LakewoodAlive, especially Ken Brand, Allison Urbanek, Ian Andrews, Lisa LaRochelle,
and the volunteers and sponsors.
To Lakewood Police, Fire, and City Services, splendid job, Lakewood never looked better.
Stay tuned some great shots of the fun!

Great event!
Tons and tons of people, great stuff, great music, and fun galore.
I can't wait to see all the awesome photos.
A few thoughts:
*Loved the music and atmosphere at the Library.
*I had never been inside the Masonic building before, it was very cool.
*I enjoyed seeing all the critters....Police horses, reindeer, dogs, and Huskies from the NEO Husky Club.
*I was very impressed that the huskies weren't shaken by the fireworks.
My dogs run for cover on the Fourth of July, even though they are halfway across town.
*I wasn't expecting to see so many attendees dressed as movie characters. Darth Vader, stormtroopers, a gremlin and whatever that guy is from the Tim Burton Halloween/Christmas movie.
