The Observation Deck

Around 2:00pm came a report that two trucks had collided in the East Bound lane of i-90,
just before the bridge over the Emerald Canyon. One truck had over turned, and the other
was badly damaged. As I was already out taking pictures of bald eagles over Lakewood today,
I turned my camera to the other side of the canyon and found Lakewood Fire and Police, doing
their thing in the freezing cold.

I got stuck in this...it sucked!

Unaware of the accident, I entered I-90 eastbound at Clague expecting to be home in a few minutes.

I immediately hit the parking lot.

All traffic was detoured off at the Detroit exit.
I got there in about 45 minutes.

Here's something I had never seen before:

When I got to the Detroit exit, cars were exiting from BOTH directions. Not only did the eastbound cars get off, but police were directing all the cars that were trapped between the wreck and the Detroit exit.
It was just weird to see a line of cars driving westbound on the eastbound side of I-90.
