For the Cleveland area this comes pretty close:

No need to suffer through the details. Cleveland is doing worse than Buffalo and Toledo.
The election of Armond Budish guarantees the end of the so called "reform" movement and the continuation of current development policy. So hoping to be rescued is a dead end.
Can leadership in Lakewood make a difference? Don't hold your breath.
For some reason they honestly believe that a new Dollar Store
and a new Drug Mart
built to make way for a really big used clothing store
built in the middle of Lakewood's Victorian District is sound economic policy.
