Overall, I like how the new building honors the old. However, the northern facade with the phony-colonie look, something like my dermatologist's office in Westlake does not match the arts and craft character of the rest of the building.

Really, they look like every other new school or office I've seen in the last few years. They are OK but nothing visionary. Architects are apparently loathe to take chances.

It has to be tough designing buildings on a set budget, with community meetings and parents
wanting "larger bathrooms" I heard at two meetings, and demanding it looks like the schools it
is replacing and keep the same flavor, and...

They should have been given clean slates...

It really compliments the new bum proof, lit all night, with ads, bus stops.
