I must say that I love the scarecrows along Madison Avenue.
Props to the Kiwanis and Uptown Lakewood for putting that together.

In case you weren't aware, here is the backstory:

These scarecrows are effing cool!!!! They were pretty good a few years ago when it started but they have become more original and fun.

Mike

I had taken some photos but was deep in production, this morning I have edited some of the images, and will be posting those along with scary houses around the city. The scarecrows
are really good, and it is great seeing Ruthie Koenigsmark project grow now with Kiwanis,
a great Lakewood Non-Profit group, awarding tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships each
year to students in Lakewood!

Here are some of them, I will update gallery throughout the season! Please feel free to
add more here yourself!

At Fire Station 1, fireman Doug Brodke puts the final touches on his effort, done completely
on his own time, not city time!

You should make it a habit of driving down Madison, many, many more and they are constantly
changing with new ones being set up.

Cuttin Loose Hair Salon put this wonderful display up...

and by morning, her husband and owner of Lakewood Hardware had joined with it and put one up that is much scary then the two Chris put up!

Creepy yes, but not very lifelike.

Even Lakewood Police joined putting up scarecrows like this one in front of Fedor Manor!

Seriously, take many drives up and down Madison, and vote for your favorite. Thanks to
everyone involved from the first one to the last one! It is appreciated!

Chris and I would like to personally thank DeDe MacNamee-Gold and all others involved in extending this to all of Madison Ave this year!
