The most interesting LHS Homecoming story wasn't the parade or the football game.
It's that Cooper Robar, a gay student, was voted Homecoming Queen by his peers.
Details are in the linked PD story:

Cooper is a great kid, he's funny, kind, a great musician and well liked by his classmates. His mother is very involved in volunteering at LHS. Our community is better because of people like them. Congrats to him, he looked lovely in his tiara and his smile was priceless. Congrats Cooper! And I hope he can ignore the negative comments online and understand that people have little insignificant lives and make drama where no drama exists. Homecoming is in the end a popularity contest, it was his day to shine and he did.
