The Art Festival Weekend always starts off with Starry Night, and this year was no different.

A cool evening brought a huge crowd, look for Margaret's report in the upcoming Observer.

Patrick McCallum walks up to the Sno Ball machine at the Tea Lab. They are actually
fluffy and really cold, like snow, not like snow cones at all.

Three generations of two great Lakewood families. The Slife and the Shiekh families.

Our friends at the Beck Center.

This year featured some really talented artists.

Mary Ross Coleman, Mary Breiner, and Fairview Park Councilwoman Peggy Cleary stop to
talk at the festival: "Didn't we do this in Rome?" "No, I think it was Rio, or the South of
France!" "Stop, don't you remember that wonderful little art thingy in Ireland" "No, I'm
sure it was Italy-- Venice?" "It was not Venice!" "It was not Venice, there are no streets.."
"No I am pretty sure Rome." "No wait, Lakewood, last year." "Who said South of France?
OMG, we must get back there this winter, remember that little place..."

The crowd.

Dave Buhler talking with Curt Brosky who moved over to the Chamber of Commerce
tent. "A Ford is this good..."

"... a Chevy about this good."

"... a Rolls Royce about this good..."

"A Templar would be at least this much better..."

The Favres.

Lakewood's Superstar Photographer Billy Delfs with his friends Jenn and her kids.
Jenn is a pretty talented designer in her own right.

Looking like rain!

I just love this guy. 40 years ago he refused to rent to me because I was a no good
hippie who would never amount to anything. Well he was right about one of those things.
My good friend, and landlord, Warren Rossen, of Rozi's Wine House.

The place was packed right up until the first drops fell.

People shopping and buying.
I took a break, and ran down to the lake to check out the rain...

Nothing pretty to see here, back to the Arts Festival.

Same exposure as before, it had gotten dark!

And wet.

About an hour later it started to clear.

And the people came back.

The next line of rain moved in.
