Access To Baseball & Soccer Fields - NOW OPEN

Metro Parks have kept a 100 yard section of the Parkway closed near the 4 Fields, down
in The Emerald Canyon. This means to get to the fields, you must enter off of Detroit Ave.
and/or Wooster Road. You cannot get through from Hoggsback off of Riverside Drive.

It is open to runners and bike riders.

On the right side of the road you can see where running water undercut the roadway
leaving a 8" - 14" drop. "If a car's tire grabbed that edge, the driver would be thrown
into the trees" said a morning worker. "We should have it filled in pretty quick."

Thanks for the updates.

On a related note, yesterday LSA cancelled this weekend's soccer games.

It's open now. Glad they fixed that section of road, it was bad before the floods and the floods just made it worse.

As far as Memorial Field, hopefully it will dry out soon. Several sections still have ponds and the geese seem to be enjoying themselves where kids are usually kicking around soccer balls.
