I was shocked to see a text from Lakewood schools this morning--- listening to the rain while packing lunches--
I looked it up and the weather service says: From 8am to 2am Thur
Accumulations of snow from 6 to 8 inches, with local amounts up to 10 inches in lake effect areas. A light glaze also possible.
Rain will arrive early this morning transitioning to snow from West to East after sunrise. As the rain changes to snow there could be a period of freezing rain and sleet. The heaviest snow should occur from mid morning through late afternoon.
Winds north 20 to 30 with gusts up to 45 MPH.
Snow along with a glaze of ice will make travel hazardous and slow across the region. Untreated surface will be slick. In addition strong winds will cause blowing snow and poor visibilities.
Schools closed! Ice storm coming. Look out.

Wind
We are going to have strong winds for the next couple of hours. The ground is saturated, and
the tree heavy with snow. This could get bad.
