At approximately 8:30pm Lakewood Fire Department was called to 168018 Madison as
someone smelled smoke.

Upon arriving the Fire Department could see flames coming through the roof, as fire entered
the apartment and made their way to the second floor getting everyone out safely.





Going back in a second time, the staircase collapsed with three firemen on them, send the
three all the way to the basement. No one was hurt.


Fire trucks from Rocky River were also called in.


By 9 pm the fire was out, and fire inspectors were on the scene.



Good work yet again to Lakewood Fire Department and Lakewood Police.

Tip of the hat to Greg at Hungry Howies that got a bunch of pizzas up to everyone at the
fire. Greg has a history of helping those that need help, especially pizza help.
