7 Years

7 years ago tomorrow we gambled on ourselves and this city and opened the doors to Lakewood Hardware. It is with the support of all of our fans, customers, friends, family, other businesses and community organizations that we are here today. Chris and I our children Derek and Rebecca along with employees Katie, Darryl, Noah, Carol, Ryan, Ken and Bob are blessed and humbled to be able to say thank you.

A special THANKS to The Lakewood Observer, you were there from day one and have been with us since through MAMA, Old House Fair, the Art Walks and numerous other events.

I love Lakewood Hardware. They feed my demons. Or fuel my addictions. Or enable my afflictions. Yeah. They've got your PVC fittings. They've got caulk. They've got fasteners of all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they even have pickles.

I love Lakewood Hardware!
Not just for it's cool "small town" feel, but because it proves that you can compete against the big box giants.

Thanks for being such a great part of the community.

Glenn,
Can't believe you've been open seven years. Then again. I can't believe I've known you for 30 years.
Anyone who has not been to Lakewood Hardware is missing a great experience. Glenn and his crew have a way of de-mystifying complex home improvement projects. Try them.

Glen, Chris all at Lakewood Hardware

Congratulations on 7 years of taking care of Lakewood's Hardware and fix-up needs. It takes
a certain kind of person to take what most considered a failing business model and take a
chance but putting money and effort where his mouth is, and trying it. Especially for the
good of a community. Which I know is one of the driving forces behind Lakewood Hardware.
But to take a collapsed business concept and prove it can work, takes something special.

Lakewood and our 100+ year old homes have all been served for the better by you and
your knowledgeable staff.

Thank you.

The Observer has been lucky to work with you.

On a separate note knowing your family, your family's history and you has made watching
your success all that much better and enjoyable.

Here is to another 70!

peace/love

How ' bought this to sum it up---you come out better than when you came in

an example-- I have sump pumps in the basement--- I brought an ugly thing into Glen, he said that's a check valve (the precise info I needed) showed me his shop's offerings (I had already gone to a big box so I knew the prices) and said this is what you need.

Bottom line---- Glenn (or any other of the store employees) had a solution for my situation; two - the store had a replacement product; and three---- the price----just about equal when you look at the package of adapters that was included.

Can't get much better than that

Congratulations to Glenn and Lakewood Hardware. :D

As a musical saw player, I find Lakewood Hardware to be essential.

Seriously, Glenn has helped me to rescue several worn down musical projects over the years. :D

Back to the banjo that Glenn's parts helped to restore! :D
