Turning the thermostat down doesn't do too much if the temperature never reaches the setting.

Went to bed with thermo at 62 and house temp at 61. Woke up and house temp is at 52. I don't think we've ever seen the furnace not able to keep up with the outside temperature.

I suppose the water department is going to tell me to conserve water by not running it through my cold pipes to keep them from freezing.

My cats would not appreciate me lowering the temperatures during the day I don't think.
